Kelly and Bruce are the first couple of Texas/Americana/alt-country without even trying. Between her critically acclaimed solo career and his #1 hits for George Strait, the Dixie Chicks and that other first couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, they understand country music’s roots, its changing dynamics, the things that make it hip and overlap with other genres

Last February Bruce and Kelly decided to do do a weekly residency at the Continental Galley in Austin to work on their new material.  ”The residency was such a great time, I was looking forward to it every week”  says Bruce.  ”Playing this show with Bruce was been the most fun I’ve had in ages,”  added Kelly.

Think the organic Sonny & Cher. Think a man and a woman who engage each other musically as well as emotionally, who know the power of neon, old jukeboxes, cold beer and overheated hormones.

This is brazen stuff that quivers on the brink of breaking down, this is families held together by sheer force of will and courage of convictions. This is love and lust, laughter and rancor, oldies and obscure jewels and just enough of the songs you know to make it a magical mystery tour through a couple careers that were more about the music than the fame or the mayhem.

Ever changing, always engaging, you never know who might – from their coterie of fascinating friends – be stopping by. But you can count on songs being sung, stories told, awkward husband and wife moments that make everybody laugh and a potent reminder of the way music can make you feel.
